9. SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu received his PhD degree in structural engineering from Queensland University, Australia. His research interests include Wave energy, Large floating structures, Numerical methods, Structural analysis. He has contributed to sustainable developments of offshore renewable energy and aquaculture production. Most significant contributions include: (i) developing structural/hydrodynamic models and solution methods for fluid-structure-interaction analysis of various marine structures including very large floating structures, wave energy converters, floating breakwaters, and floating structures having perforated components; and (ii) critically reviewing and developing design solutions for offshore aquaculture and renewable energy production. In these areas, I have published 10 papers in Q1 (top 25%) journals, 3 papers in Q2 journals, 1 peer-reviewed conference paper, and 1 keynote conference paper in the field of structural and ocean engineering.
